Dhimbil Posted January 17, 2006 I recently came across the Universal Bank of Somalia (UBSOM), a commercial bank that was launched on January 2002. The bank is owned by Somalis in partnership with foreign investors in Europe according to online sources. I never heard of this bank or saw it in the Somali online media? do any of you heard of this bank? did you ever use it? anyway here is what is online. I don't even know if it is still operational. Faarax-Brawn Posted January 18, 2006 I have never heard of this "Bank" in or around the "Somali Banking" fraternity aka Xawilaads . If it is that highly accreditted with partners like Bank of America & Jp Morgan,then perhaps we should have heard it. Also,none of the Links on the webpage for the contacts & partners work,very suspicious I tell ya. I wanted a physical address but I cant seem to find it.
