Katrina Posted November 1, 2005 Mashaalah, a pic really is worth a thousand words. Those pics had me in awe/mesmerized! Most brought on smiles but a few had me almost in tears...esp. the "study hard" pic of the little boy...so vulnerable and most likely a bleak future ahead of him as long as Somalis conti to arrogantly deny the ugly side of our society and refuse to force change. He will most likely (in a few years) be the little boy with the "rifle in one hand and a football in the other". Ooh how privileged abroad Somalis are and yet how unwilling we (most) are to live up to our potential. P.S. I'd appreciate if the nomads notorious for ripping other ppl's posts apart would turn an eye and spare me in my moment of weakness.
