Some of the solutions:

1. Stop mixing internal and external issues. Example PM and Speaker tussle was what made this worst

2. Consult with Kwait and Oman that have successfuly been navigating with this problem

3. Let the UAE continue their work in regions like Puntland. Since Arabs are like children when they fight and reconcile, don't get too deep anywhere.

4. Deal with Djibouti, Ethiopia and to some extent Kenya so that there is no misunderstanding on this issue

5. Do not associate any other issue with the main issue. Not everything is related. Give more weight to internal matters as it relates to this issue. Example if HirShebele is going to be affected, deal directly with the region rather than decisions from the top and then accusing the region of siding with this or that power.

6. Accept the fact that Somalia is not neutral. Somalia is only neutral in name. Practically there are a lot of issues that show Somalia to be in the Qatar camp.

7. Take advantage of the friction between Saudi and UAE to the extent possible. Follow what Djibouti and Ethiopia do. They are singing Kumbaya with the Saudis.

Dubai is one of the most expensive place to live.  One hundred dollars won't last one day after the exchanges. Somalis can find alternatives places very easily. Last year when the blockade of Qatar appeared, they did all kind of things to intimidate the Somali government for being neutral. 

Most major Somali businesses know the danger of the gulf countries to be reliable trading partners. Best example is Somali livestock which shut down every few years for no reason other than damage the livestock industry.

 

Cuman and Yemen are much closer, and major trades are usually through the sea. Mogadishu and other ports could import goods directly from China. 

Thousand of Djibouti citizens are refused visa since the Yemen war when Djibouti refused a base to launch attacks to Yemen.

The Jigjiga liaison officer who lives here in SOL will double talk both in favor of UAE and against it just to weaken our resolve. When Farmaajo agreed to resolve the problem through dialogue at the Arab league conference , Mr OO said, " Why were you lying to the people if you can not sacrifices yourself", now that Somalia stood it's ground you are saying that they are not neutral by dealing with QAtar. Yet you tell us that Ethiopia can deal with multiple partners.

Guys,  even when  DP world called Djibouti as animals and pronounced the weaknesses of the Somali government and saying that Somalia does not even control Mogadishu, Somalia never said a bad word or tried to cut diplomatic relations. THey are the ones who upped the ante.

Folks, Dubai is not the world. Mr. Dahireto , there are no hundreds of thousands of Somalis in Dubai. their false overpriced doctors will lose a lot. The Somali elites who think Dubai is the world must think again. Why you keep building other countries. THe money in Eastleigh , Kenya must be repatriated including the millions earned through pirates.

The separatists tell their people despite the 80% unemployment of their youth, the life killing inflation and the total isolation from the rest of world ,  to keep sacrificing and wave the false flag no matter what, yet they do not want few Somali businessmen to relocate from Dubai and do what is necessary both for their future wealth and the independence of their country. Folks, the time has come for everyone to do some sacrifices.

Finally, if the Dubai playboys are willing to deal with us and submit every moves they do in our country, we are willing to deal with them. The regional governments might get their wish , but first stick with decisions of the federal government.

Ethiopia deals with Qatar, UAE, Saudis, Sudan...yet all of them are cat and mouse depending on season.Ethiopia deals with America, Russia, China, Britain, Japan...yet these are cat and mouse at all times.

Those are the facts.

President Farmaajo should have taken responsibility and authority of this issue, especially when parliament, PM..were going in different directions with it and using the issue in their tussle.

I also commented that the SFG needs to resolve, file necessary documents and move on. The more time spent on this the more trivial issues becoming reason of disunity.

As far as kilil goes, Somaliland is further south than Djibouti and any business in Somaliland covers more population and more geographic area. Kilil also can participate with more development projects in that than Djibouti which only covers small part of the kilil.
