Jacaylbaro Posted May 21, 2008 It is almost 20 years since our former Somali government collapsed; all the essential systems broke down as a result of civil war that torn apart the country; including hospitals, schools and even the prestigious university of the nation. As a result thousands of civilians flee from their home places and their beloved countries. Because they felt dilemma for being in Somali- not only the elders and crippled people migrate, but unfortunately the backbone of the community (youth) also did. The question is: Why this rising flowers hated being risen in their lands? This was a question which thousands of Somali experts confused. And finally they all concluded their researches in one thing: “Future”, better future is what Somali youths are seeking. Because they hadn’t seen a light lightening in front of them, beckoning them to continue their struggle, that’s why Somali youths are exposing them selves into risk by traveling through, jagged roads. The days and years passed over without any change until some Somali professors and intellectuals thought to change this dark into light, and to guide their youth to a path leading them down to struggle and compete like the developed ones. Because the person can do any thing only if he has agreed to reach a specific goal, Suppose the person can’t worship Allah if Allah didn’t promises him to reward him a paradise if he become righteousness, and punish him a hell if he become stray. In 4-jully-1998 was a precious day, it was a day which Somali youths eyes reopened it was the day Amoud university was founded, I can’t describe in words how delighted our youths felt that day, it was a day thousands of hopes and dreams revived again. With the help of Allah and the hard work of our keen intellect devotees, our professors enabled to turn into reality to something that seemed impossible. They worked day and night sacrifice their selves to trap our tears back to our eyes, they even made with the help of Allah and blessing of thousand of poor mothers, to make their youths win with one of the highest titles and ranks (DR). Being a doctor is not an easy job even in the developed countries didn’t permit the foreign students to enroll such faculties. And fortunately we get it. “No matter where you study hard working is the key to success” This is a precious word which our professors always recite to encourage the students. Amoud University is not only a place where people are taught, but it is a place where thousands of hopes and dreams revived again.
