The Brixton Pound is designed for local people to spend in local businesses so that money continues to circulate in the Brixton area. Some of the markets in Brixton will be the first to adopt the B£. Working alongside but not replacing sterling, the B£ will be a complementary currency for independent local businesses and individuals within Brixton.
