-Lily- Posted December 9, 2008 The worst kind of calacal is the doom & gloom type, even if it is not in our lifetime (which I know it will be), Xamar will return to its former glory, if not better.

Why would anyone want to deny someone that? I really feel for everyone who has lost a home. A childhood Memory. Sucks.
Valenteenah. Posted December 9, 2008 FB, old Xamar is alive in people's memories and the new Xamar, the current Xamar, is creating memories (both bad and good I'm sure) in the people that live there now. The city hasn't died yet. As Lily pointed out, it will be rebuilt in due time, I'A. So save your fake empathy/sympathy.

Gheelle.T Posted December 9, 2008 Keep your rejections to yourselves guys(to those that are crying fault on Xamar caddeey) Open a thread about Hargeisa or Garisa or wherever else that be and see if we give a rat about it .. We all know there is NO Somali city that can even come closer to Xamar in its glorious days, let alone compare. MMA, yeah iskuul farsamada was in lambar afar, but I don't think it was new though. Baaskiilyaasha iyo moto sheelaro aa lagu ijaari jirey. Heard of guy called "Gurey"? As for the lifts, if am not mistaking isbitaal Digfeer and Bangiga dhexe also had lifts.. Baashi Posted December 9, 2008 Just for the record I have been in MMA's home. I am sure he was too young back then. His old man was biggie and their home was quite big sitting on a sizable real estate. I played boojo in the neighborhood. I was grade 6 at the time. As for Xamar -- what can I say!! Have a nice memories. The place has left a permanent mark in my head. Anyone from Sakhawadiin Secondary School in Shibis?
