Salaan...

Is it called Siyaalel?

Or it is Siital?

Or Siitle?

The Seattle International Film Festival, held annually mid-May to mid-June, is the largest film festival in North America.

Hate to tell you this, but Toronto occupies that position. Not only is it the largest film festival in North America, but almost on the verge of taking over the top place in the world, directly competing in a place that was traditionally dominated by Cannes Film Festival.

^^lol! It's pronounced Siyaa-tal [by Somalis], Siyaa-lel [by Somali women] and Siyaa-dal [ by English speakers].

Your article says Toronto is considered to hold that title. Seattle is said to hold that title.

But hey [?], how important is that anyways? :D

Vancouver should be competing with New York and Los Angeles. ;)

Since she can't, it's OK we will let her compete with us. :D

Vancouver, ranked the most livable city three times in a row now by the prestigious Economist newsmagazine.

Take a look:

  • Vancouver
  • Melbourne
  • Vienna
  • Geneva
  • Perth
  • Sydney
  • Zurich
  • Toronto
  • Calgary
I am sure the next ten would be Scandinavian and/or other Western European countries, so that leaves the burning question: Where are the American cities? Oh, the pity Pittsburgh, merely making to the 26th spot. Manchester, the top British city, is ranked at 41. London? Below 50, perhaps. Aww!

Oh, I found the next ten and as I predicted, Scandinavian countries dominate:

  • 11. Brisbane (Australia)
  • 12. Copenhagen
  • 13. Helsinki
  • 14. Stockholm
  • 15. Frankfurt
  • 16. Montreal
  • 17. Tokyo
  • 18. Hamburg
  • 19. Paris
  • 20. shared by Auckland (New Zealand) and Oslo.

^^That just goes to show you how biased that magazine is.

By the way, how did they judge "most livable"? Sound as though it is littered with opinions, since to each his/her own criteria.

Bishaaro LOL! hardly anyone drinks that here, because there is a starbucks in every block corner. Matter of fact, my first job was as a cashier at a starbucks. :D

Sleepless in Seattle...not Sleepless in Toronto.

What's up with the Torontorians and the Melbournians? And why do they both sound like exotic diseases?

Stop hating yaa?
