1. English Slang( just joking)

2. English Proper

3. Somalia( poor writing though)

4. Can say some small phrases in Arabic and German...

1. English Slang(I'm NOT joking)

2. Standard English

3. Somali (Y'll know how my writing is though) :(

4. Bengali (I know you are thinking WTF, but it is true) :D

5. Speak & reading Arabic

6. Broke A*ss French

7. I use to speak Xabashi… I don’t think I can anymore, I just remember all the swear words, and how to buy bread, hello, few other things...there is no one to practice on.

I've been trying to learn Swahili for a while now, I'm hopeless without my phrase book, and my teacher’s dumped me.

Why has it become almost fashionable, nowadays, for almost all somali kids growing up in the west to claim, "I can barely speak spoken somali, and I can't write it at all". It is really sad.

The fact is, the loss of the language comes with a loss of great deal of culture and homely ways. The somali language is part of what makes us somali.

Come on.....! ughhhhhhhhhhhh! Annoying. 3rd and 4th generation Chinese, Indians, Pakis etc still manage to speak their parents' tongues whilst us, who barely got here yesterday losing theirs. It is ridiculous.
