Somaliland: Court Sentences duo to 2 years of imprisonment for Child Theft

HARGEISA–A district court in Hargeisa today sentenced Mr. Abdirahman Abdilahi Hasan and Ms. Khadra Abdilahi Mohamed to 2 and half years imprisonment  for child theft. The duo have been found guilty of stealing children and selling which is a serious crime in Somaliland.

The mother of the children has expressed her dismay over the jail term in regard to the duo hwo have been found stealing children in Somaliland. Last week, Hargeisa district court sentenced to 3 years of imprisonment 5 men who were covicted of selling tortoise in Somaliland.
