President Appoints Somaliland Representative to Kenya & Ethiopia

President Musa Bihi Abdi has appointed representatives, director generals, attorney general and  who are going to be part of his new government. The announcement was made by through a presidential decree #JSL/XM/WM/222-43/022018, issued from office of the president. This was made in consultations with the constitution of Somaliland particularly article 90 which gives the president the outright executive power to appoint or fire public officials.

Deputy Somaliland representative to Ethiopia, Hon. Ayanle Salad has been moved to be the deputy Representative to Kenya. For the first time since Somaliland’s inception, the new president has named a new representative to the United Nations, a post which newly appointed representative is expected to represent a country which is not recognized by the int’l community.
