Deeq A. Posted February 12, 2018 By Ahmed Abdi Hargeisa— Somaliland transferred four Ogaden nationals to Ethiopian Intelligence Services, according to an eyewitness. Four Ogaden expats were rounded up by Somaliland authority from Gabiley and Hargeisa and handed over to Ethiopian Intelligence Service on 28 January 2018, according to a person familiar with the extradition. The young men were from Duhun, Shilabo, Garbo and Dhagahmadow and they were placed on a truck before taking them to Jail Ogaden in Jigjiga, the capital of the Ogaden regional state. The reason behind their transfer was not immediately clear; however, over the last ten years, Somaliland has been transferring to Ethiopia people suspected of supporting Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) or criticising its policy. ONLF engaged in three-days peace talks with Ethiopia government on Sunday.
