Ibtisam Posted April 5, 2007 lool. the 15 Navy hostages held by Iran were made to grovel before being given their freedom last night, in ill fitting shining suits. loool. Conniving President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad bragged to the world that he ordered their release as an Easter gift to the British people. loool haha. Then he went around shaking hands with them each, and they had to say Thank you! SO who won the little power struggle, i know it was not Iran, although they got visit to some prisoners, and a diplomate released. But then again Britain did not have to say sorry as demanded. And Tony said: “We have taken a measured approach, firm but calm. Not negotiating, but not confronting either.” Right tony!

Khayr Posted April 5, 2007 This whole Drama was a very well done play and it showed the hypocracy of the west. What the hell is a damn british ship doing in the middle of the middle east? Hell, it ain't an argument of being within 'iraqi water lines or not' but rather -who gave you the right to park your ships in middle eastern backyards? Imagine an iranian military fleet float about in the Wales? That would be considered an outright hostile action by the Brits. This should teach these colonialists to "back the hell on up and out" Iran played this very well. I loved Blair's speech. But Ahmed's speech was wicked. Truely Honor belongs to Allah, His Rasul (salallahu cailyhe wasilm) and the Belivers. Allahu Akbar!

Gabbal Posted April 6, 2007 Continuing to hold them would have created unnecessary provocation. Good on the Iranians I say.
