Somaliland Delegation Reaches Buhodle amid political tension

BUHODLE– A delegation led by the Public Works Ministers of Somaliland reaches Buhodle on Saturday amid political dispute over territory between Somaliland and Puntland. His Excellency, Abdirashid Du’ale Qanbi received a warm welcome where intellectual, elders and residents have greeted him in Qorilugud upon reaching the town.

Hon. Qanbi delivered a speech to the residents in Xabado stadium and has reiterated that the new Somaliland administration under the shrewd leadership of His Excellency Musa Bihi Abdi is committed to the development of Buhodle region. The Public works minister has urged residents to remain unted and work towards the promotion of peace and stability. “I will not accompany with anyone that is masterminding plots against Buhodle” Said the minister in a nutshell. Some of the elders and intellectuals have accused Puntland of inciting instability and recruiting militias employed to destabilize the region. Somali govt in conjunction with Puntland are recruiting militia soldiers in Buhodle who are supposed to undermine Somaliland’s 24 years of peace and stability. Somaliland and Puntland which are neighbors locked horns over Sool, Sanaag and Ain regions which have been transpiring since the inception of Puntland. This is the first delegation from Somaliland that visited Buhodle since the new president has assumed the presidency.
