Somaliland President Sends Congratulatory Message on the 24th Establishment anniversary of Armed Forces

HARGEISA– The new Somaliland President, Musa Bihi Abdi has sent a congratulatory message to the armed forces on its 24th establishment day anniversary on the 2nd of February. The president has sent similar congratulatory message to the families of me and women in uniform where ever they are who are defending their country. The Head of State hopes that the armed forces to live in peace and prosperity and further anticipates that they will continue their efforts to defend their homeland from foes internally and externally.

Somaliland which broke away from Somalia in 1991 has achieved to rebuild its state from scratch without the support of the international community. It has an army, currency, a flag and multi party politics. It has built two house chambers and oversee the election of local council and presidential polls. Somaliland is not recognized despite having overcome these challenges.
