Somaliland army foils militant attack in Tukaraq

TUKARAQ– Somaliland army stationed in the fontline in Tukaraq town particularly Godqabobe has reportedly foiled a plot by militants which launched an abortive attack against Somaliland army yesterday.

The militants have escaped and returned to Garowe after they were overpowered and could not withstand the power of Somaliland army. The head of the militia was by the name of Faisal Falalug who hails from Sool region but he was sent from Garowe, Puntland capital to launch destabilizing attack against the Somaliland defense forces. The militia led by Mr. Faisal opened fire to Somaliland army but later they flee to Garowe. The report has been confirmed by Sool’s regional governor Hon. Abdi Khaire Dirir.
