Definetly Kant. Also, I get so intrigued by Machiavelli and the whole "the end justifies the means" argument. The Prince is so revolationary in the sense that it gives cruelty some sort of legitimacy.

^Interesting, I found a paperback copy of The Prince (on the bus of all places) and have been reading it here and there the last few days. I was wondering if it was a sign of some sort
