Deeq A. Posted January 23, 2018 LASANOD—Somaliland’s Vice President, Hon. Abdirahman Sayli’i and Tukaraq town traditional elders agreed to decentralize power to the township according to a meeting the VP held with elders on Monday. The VP met with intellectuals and traditional chiefs met in Lasanod, Sool’s provincial capital have seen the need to rebuild the town which has not seen the reconstruction projects for the last 27 years. The Deputy President and the elders have reached a common understanding in carrying projects aimed at improving access to education, health and most of all that the elders should play a huge role in cooperating with Somaliland authority in maintaining law and order in the town following the expulsion of militia soldiers backed by Puntland.
