Somaliland: President Returns after Wrapping up Two Day Official working visit to Addis Ababa

HARGEISA–Somaliland President, Musa Bihi Abdi arrives home after wrapping up three day official working visit to Ethiopia. The president met with Ethiopia’s Prime Minister, HE Hailamariam Desalegn and Foreign Minister, Dr. Workneh. Civil Aviation Authority Manager, Abdi Mohamed Rodol and Police Commissioner, Abdilahi Fadal Iman greeted the president upon arriving at Egal airport. The minister for education and science, Hon. Faraton who accompanied the president’s delegation has spoken to local media at the VIP lounge. The minister has said that the trip was all ended in success as far as the president’s visit to Ethiopia is concerned. Mr. Faraton said that issues that were discussed between Somaliland leader and Ethiopian PM were security collaboration, trade, economic infrastructure, the expansion of Berbera port and the realization of Berbera corridor which is vital for linking Ethiopia to Somaliland. The two countries have agreed to cooperate in the areas of education as Ethiopia will provide scholarships to students from Somaliland. Minister of foreign affairs, interior, trade and education were with the president on his visit to Ethiopia.
