Deeq A. Posted January 16, 2018 Addis Ababa–Ethiopian Prime Minister, Hailemariam Desalegn, has conferred today with a delegation led by Somaliland President, H.E Musa Bihi Abdi. The two leaders held talks centered on boosting the bilateral ties and common interests. The two leaders exchanged views on ways and means to enhance existing cooperation in trade, security, economic development and combating terrorism and piracy in the region. They also reviewed ways to boost the current relations and preventing anything that will hinder its progress. The two leaders raised in their discussion the implementation of Berbera corridor, which is very strategic for both countries as Ethiopia, a landlocked country is heavily banking on the use of Berbera port for its import and export. Musa Bihi, Somaliland president speaking after the talks said that he has discussed with Ethiopian PM on security. Said he, ” We have talked about security and I believe that Ethiopia’s stability is in the interest of Somaliland and the vice versa.” Somaliland President leading a high level delegation started two days official working visit to Ethiopia.
