Somaliland President & Delegate welcomed with Red Carpet Treatment in Addis Ababa

Somaliland delegation led by President, Musa Bihi Abdi arrives in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia’s capital.  The President, Bihi who was off to Ethiopia was welcomed with a red carpet at Bole International airport. President, Bihi was greeted at the airport by Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu is the Minister for Foreign Affairs. Mr. Musa Bihi, the Somaliland President received formal invitation from Ethiopia’s Premeire, Desalegn and is due to hold talks aimed at bolstering the common mutual interest between Somaliland and Ethiopia. The Head of State will spend three days of official working visit to Ethiopia and this will be his second foreign trip he has embarked since his assumption to the highest post in Somaliland. The President visited Djibouti in his first foreign trip.

Foreign Minister Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu today (16 January 2018) welcomed the President of Republic of Somaliland HE Musa Bihi Abdi..

The President has expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome accorded to him by Dr. Workneh.

Upon welcoming the President, Dr. Workneh has expressed his appreciation for the cooperative role the Republic of Somaliland plays in the maintenance of peace and stability in its adjacent regions.

Dr. Workneh also further added that, Ethiopia and the Republic of Somaliland have strong cooperative ties in the economic sphere.
