The Rwandan President, Paul Kagame is expected to chair the forthcoming session of the AU Assembly of the Heads of State and Government in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa this month from 28th to 29th.

The summit is expected to discuss many other issues on continental affairs including the conflict and revitalization peace efforts in the war torn South Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Somalia, and other African Countries facing insecurity as well as economic factors.

South Sudanese warring parties, SPLM-IG, SPLM-IO and former detainees are expected to be at the side-line of the  submit in Addis Ababa in February to discuss the revitalization matter of the peace process.

Rwandan President Paul Kagame who is chairing the Assembly took the chairmanship from Guinean President, Alpha Conde last year in an African Union election in Ethiopia.

Kagame is tasked to tackle continental issues and to reform the AU Commission
and make it more efficient and effective.
