Che -Guevara Posted January 7, 2018 Mogadishu (HOL) - The Somali government is lobbying for its former foreign minister, Abdusalaam Hadliye Omer to be the next Executive Secretary of The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) - an eight-country trading block in East Africa. Che -Guevara Posted January 7, 2018 I would have liked Minister Beyle but good luck to Abdusalam.
Old_Observer Posted January 7, 2018 IGAD is more of security and defence issues not trading one. It is most important institution for Somalia, since the EU, UN use this institution as local rep for them. Not only would this give Somalia a seat, but also a profile. Would be good if successful. Mooge Posted January 7, 2018 niyoow Beyle is trying to keep the thieves away in Mogadishu so we don't need him to go. Abdusalam is fully qualified and deserve in my opinion. good luck to him.
