(Dr.) Amina Mohamed in the Cabinet, She has been a strong supporter for Jubilee and has an exquisite track record. She has made us proud since her appointment in the Cabinet, as a Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Trade. Amb. Mohamed demonstrated solid leadership and strong negotiation skills, which have seen Kenya re-position herself in international arena. Amb. Mohamed has been instrumental in the restructuring, reforming and rationalisation of Kenya’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its Missions abroad; she also chaired the team that drafted Kenya’s foreign trade policy. She has also been influential in promoting Africa’s agenda in multilateral fora including in the World Trade Organisation where she chaired the 10th Ministerial Conference, successfully hosted in Nairobi. Amb. Mohamed briefly left her cabinet position to bid for the chairperson of the African Union Commission, We expect that she should be reinstated back to cabinet so that she can continue to work side by side with our president in her former capacity as the Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
