Somaliland Defense Forces Chase out Somalia’s minister from Badhan

BADHAN— Somaliland’s National Defense Forces stationed in Badhan barracks have chased out of Somalia’s Planning minister, Mr. Jama Mohamed Hasan and his delegation who paid a visit to eastern Sanaag. The planning minister for Somalia’s federal government hails from Badhan and Somaliland national army exchanged fire with the minister’s bodyguards which they could not withstand with the robust and superior forces of Somaliland soldiers. According to reports coming from Badhan confirm that soldier from Somaliland’s national defense forces sustained minor injuries while two bodyguards of Somalia’s planning minister have been injured. This confrontation which Somaliland’s National Army have overpowered the minister’s bodyguards forced them to flee from Badhan district which lies in the east of Sanaag province. This is the second attempt made by Somalia’s minister who came to the eastern regions as it is interpreted as a clear violation of Somaliland’s territorial integrity.
