MOGADISHU, Somalia: Somali prosecutors have filed charges against five people for last year’s deadly truck bombing that killed more than 400 people.

Four suspects appeared in a military court in the Somali capital Mogadishu on Monday while one is on the run.

They include Hassan Adan Isack, Abduwali Ahmed Diriye, Abdul Abdi Warsame, Mukhtar Mohamud Hasan and Abdullahi Ibrahim Hassan, according to the tribunal.

Hassan Ali Nur Shute, chief of the military court, has accused Hassan Adan Isack, for driving a vehicle with explosives, coordinating the Oct. 14 attack, and several assassinations in Mogadishu.

The suspects were in Somali government custody since Oct.14, 2017 and the next hearing will take place on Thursday, according to the tribunal.

The Somali government blames militant group al-Shabaab for the deadliest bombing in the country’s history.
