Che -Guevara Posted December 22, 2017 This dude just benefited from Government's amateurish mishandling of him and other opposition. He managed to blow that way. I think the last real Somali politician was Mohamed Ibrahim Egal

Holac Posted December 22, 2017 In traditional Somali conversations, land belongs to the clans that make up the majority in the area and its surroundings. It is how Somalis speak. But in reality, Mogadishu belongs to all Somalis and nobody can be refused to settle or make a living, based on clan or blood affiliation.

I think the last real Somali politician was Mohamed Ibrahim Egal Che, CC Shakur is not a politician, and cannot be put in league with other career politicians. Not long ago, he was one of those community gathering gate crashers, and trouble maker for anyone who want to organise Nomads in London. Sharif’s TFG opened the gates for amateurs, and hustlers to enter political arena. Most of these guys including Dam Jadeed and their likes, have background in religion profiteering. They have zero knowledge about how politics work, and not even bright enough to learn on the job.

Holac Posted December 23, 2017 They don't seem to have had the best of luxury growing up. That is normally seen as positive in Western politics. Today, they are the toughest critics of Kheyre's government. See their current makeover in order: Shakuur, Odawaa and Fiqi.

Old_Observer Posted December 24, 2017 Che, Don't give up hope. Its actually in these seemingly insurmountable times that some brave soul is born. I am sure, I will anger a lot of people here, but one idea that seems to be missing is establishing a new capital (call it temporary or transitional). The late President Abdulahi Yusuf had this proposed at the time, when the problems with the Capital seemed intractable and also requiring more money, more time, more lives than what he thought was necessary. Jowhar, Baidowa..etc were being considered. If you do this the capital would be peaceful in a Mogadishu minute.
Tillamook Posted December 25, 2017 ^ Nonsense! Mogadishu will remain the national capital for the foreseeable future. The defunct Moryanism of some in the cpiatal shall be overcome by the Somali people collectively.
