Somaliland: Police Arrest Eryal TV reporter in Berbera

BERBERA– Police in Berbera, the port city have detained on Monday Mr. Ahmed Said Mohamed, Eryal Television reporter. Berbera Mayor, Hon. Abdishakur Mohamoud Idin has ordered the reporter to be put behind bars.

According to reports coming from Berbera, Sahil’s regional capital indicate that the mayor has sued him and opened a file at the court. Berbera regional court issued arrest warrant for the reporter and is now under police custody awaiting to be brought before a court of trail. Details are sketchy on the accusation that the reporter was detained.
