Bad move. This will only alienate more people. Culusoow had strong opposition and he never arrested anyone.

Can anyone list and tell the gallery what crime Adbishakur and Umar Halwayste committed other than trying to impeach Farmaajo's government through normal democratic process?  So what if they criticize Farmaajo's government daily or organize "mooshin" for the parliament to bring down the government based on what they perceive as government's incompetence to run the country? What is wrong with attacking the government through the media and even being relentless in a peaceful process?

 

We need to give up on the Siyadist mentality. This undemocratic arrest of opposition lawmakers is more than farcical. We don't need a new clan war.

 Normal opposition, motions, are acceptable, but foreign country can NOT exert  influence, especially through elected members, (because SOMALI leader refuse to bellydance to ARABS) by giving them money, to sabotage slow, fragile system. These guys become foreign agents, and is totally unacceptable.

 

These has been  the norm, but can not go on. SOMEONE has to stop.

Foreign countries run the entire country and are guarding the president. It is not a valid argument. The Turkey camp (which I support) can fight hard democratically and defeat the opposition camp through normal process, but Kheyre and Farmaajo shouldn't just order blanket arrests even if the opposition camp is supported by a country that is not friendly to Turkey in today's geopolitical game. I say Turkey because we know the UAE doesn't have any particular dislike or hatred towards Somalia or the Somali people.  We are pawns of a bigger geopolitical game. 

 

This arrest doesn't solve Somalia's problem. The parliament will now be more divided.

Political violence is not the answer. If this guy dies, how does that help Farmaajo and Kheyre run the country? They should have ignored them meelahooda haka qayliyaane.

What Abdishakur and Inc are doing is not political criticism.  They are undermining wherever little institutions we have at the behest of foreign power.
