Che -Guevara Posted December 21, 2017 Yes, the reporting has been one-sided largely because there is no real media presence but more importantly, it is the Oromo regional and federal leaders are shaping the narrative. The other media outlets, mostly diaspora and opposition ones, want to malign Somalis by saying they support Woyanes. Of course, Iley was lapdog but how can justify the killings of Somali civilians who lived in Oromo regions (or former Somali districts) for decades or centuries. A lot of people were killed in police custody or the police simply did nothing. A good number of people were killed by mobs. A lot of the victims are people who know nothing about Somalis or married into Oromo.

Keep order and organizaton in the Somali region, pressure the federal government (military and police) to protect Somalis outside. Sad there is loss of life, but one has to consider the other option. The Oromo will very quickly realize that they are cutting their hands their feet themselves for a long time to come for a 2 year "glory" in the media that blindly supports them. Why do you think the Amhara are awfuly quite? They are waiting for the Oromo to do all the dirty work for them, and when the Oromo are isolated and come to their senses, will be too weakend to resist Amhara leadership. It may or may not work, but the Amahara are a lot smarter. Even Gonder city where they killed and expelled Tigray are awfully quite now after the Agew got autonomous zone from Gonder. They very very quickly realized that lesson without any retaliatory acts from Tigray. What Tigray did with Gonder (patience even at loss of life) has now brought a solution that will be there for forceable future.
Che -Guevara Posted January 1, 2018 Displaced Somalis
Old_Observer Posted January 1, 2018 Its late for some of them, but finally seems the federal government will provide support. The problem with Somali is like Afar from Eritrea. The Afar from Eritrea are not registered as refugees in Afar and Tigray regions, therefore not registered for UN refugee programs. Same with Somali displaced. The number is much less than the real displaced. here is more gruesome news hard to believe, but real: http://www.jigjigaherald.com/
maakhiri1 Posted January 1, 2018 Very sad to Somalis being targeted llike this
Che -Guevara Posted January 5, 2018 More Somalis attacked and displaced in Nazret (Adama), Oromia.
Old_Observer Posted January 6, 2018 It looks like the Oromo leaders realized they could lose everything. It seems these killings will stop. They thought a quick victory can be achieved by shocking people, but as time went by only their crimes and incompetence is coming out. If fake news does not succeed in a day, before its exposed as fake, once people stand and think it goes the opposite. The Somali was brave and calculated. The Somalis killed cannot be brought back, but one can achieve to save more Somali from being killed and better security and peace for future. By all accounts its working.

Me thinks the Somali was the one that wanted it the most. I am certain I have read or listened an interviw from an ONLF side on this one. WSLF had it in a conerence resolution that there should be a Guarantee of completely autonomous self government and recognition of self determination for Somali to stay in Ethiopia.
Che -Guevara Posted January 10, 2018 Garad Wiilwaal on Somali killings. It seems the federal troops are setting up the situation and Oromo militias are moving in for the kill.
Old_Observer Posted January 10, 2018 Che, The worst happened deep inside Oromo region, not even close to border of two regions. The Federal were in the bordering areas. This were Oromo police that left the defenceless in the station. Here is where it happened Cyan Afar, Yellow Oromo and violet Somali: Do you see where the circles are? I have listened to those who escaped speaking.
Old_Observer Posted January 10, 2018 Che, What does this show you? False propaganda of Qero (Oromo Alshabab) did not last a week and other media are now going there and investigating. In the age of facebook, one can create chaos with falsehood, but if you can withstand the first blow, the perpetrator gets exxposed and total failure has to wait so many years to repeat again. The age of George Soros.
Che -Guevara Posted January 10, 2018 Jawar seems to be losing it. I want to know why the federal government is not protecting Somalis or relocating them to the Somali region. The troops seem to be intentionally setting up Somali civilians to be killed.
