Somaliland: Ex-President Rayale pays courtesy call on President-elect Musa Bihi

HARGEISA— The former President of Somaliland, His Excellency Dahir Rayale Kahin paid a courtesy call to President-Elect and met him at the presidential mansion today. In his remarks, Rayale congratulated President-elect Bihi on his landslide victory and further has given him tips.

He said the people of Somaliland are behind President-elect Musa Bihi, and would continue to pray for him and the country for peace, prosperity and a smooth transfer of power, come Dec. 15th. Ex-President Riyale has urged the President-Elect to take the path to lead the nation to progress. In his remarks, President-elect Musa Bihi thanked the former President for coming  all the way to congratulate him, for which he was very happy. He will look for his advice and consult in overcoming whenever he is faced with local political challenges.

The two used to great rivals in Somaliland politics when the former president was in power, the president-elect used to fiercely attack his administration. The people forget about the past and move forward for a better Somaliland, because in the end they are all the same people and Somaliland belongs to all. Having put the past behind us as election was over, now that Somaliland  is one country of one family, and that they should all come together as one people to build a better Somaliland.
