NGONGE Posted June 30, 2010 Nigeria's president has suspended his nation's football team from international competition for two years after a poor showing at the World Cup. Special presidential adviser Ima Niboro told reporters the decision by Goodluck Jonathan will "enable Nigeria to reorganise its football". The BBC understands the Nigerian Football Federation is to be dissolved and an interim board appointed. Nigeria were knocked out in the group stages without winning a game. Niboro said: "This directive became necessary following Nigeria's poor performance in the ongoing World Cup." Under Fifa rules, government interference with national teams is strictly forbidden. BOB Posted June 30, 2010 I understand what they mean by Reorganise because the system they use when they are choosing players for the national team is unbelievably backwards and has no place in sport. So many talented players are overlooked simply because they're not on good terms with their Chief or the governer of the province they hail from...you wont believe some of the stories you hear from the public. I've been to Nigeria and I wont accept in a million years that they can't find more talented players than those we saw in S.A. corruption keeps on destroying that country and only if they could organise themselves and get honest and genuine football fans in the office Nigeria can win the world cup for Africa that's how blessed they are with talented footballers. Peace, Love & Unity.

rudy-Diiriye Posted July 1, 2010 That bs 4-2 or 4.5 shyte aint gonna work no where in africa. In africa whats gonna work is this! Every tribe member needs to vote for the opposite tribe contender! This is called "Country comes before tribe voting" or ccbtv. This way, non tribal educates ones who care about election competitors with non tribal connections, with positive point of views can have a chance to win and lead their countries.
