Somaliland: President-Elect Meets British Ambassador, Concar

HARGEISA-— SL President-Elect, Col. Musa Bihi Abdi met with British Ambassador, David Concar  here on Saturaday.The British envoy is accompanied by Ms. Rosie Tapper who is in charge of UK office to Somaliland.

First of all, the UK delegation mission to Hargeisa was to pass British congratulatory message to the Kulmiye governing party’s landslide victory in the recently presidential election held on 13 Nov.

UK envoy  said that UK will continue their efficient cooperation in key areas of mutual interests such bolstering bilateral ties between UK, Somaliland and expanding the aid earmarked to SL.

President Elect, Col. Musa Bihi and UK envoy to Somalia concurred to consolidate the existing bilateral UK-Somaliland  cooperation. Somaliland the UK need to work together to further deepen the strategic mutual trust and co operational development have strong and enduring ties so as to deliver more to the two countries and the peoples.

The UK envoy, David Concar has stressed during high level talks with president elect on the resumption of stalled talks between Somaliland & Somalia. He noted that the UK is hoping to see that the dialogue would deliver fruitful results where both sides would be satisfied. Finally, Mr. Concar has called on the president elect to further push the talks with Khatumo so as the dialogue would bear fruit.
