Deeq A. Posted November 8, 2017 HARGEISA— The National Elections Commission (NEC) begins dispatching staffers at polling stations in nationwide. The staffers are university students across the the nationwide and have left for the assigned polling centers in the regions and districts in Somaliland. Those who were recruited from Marodi Jeh and nearby districts have left from Hargeisa on Wednesday and headed to assigned polling centers across the nation. The varsity polling station staffers in other provinces will leave in a matter of days. NEC distributed ballot papers to the country so as the citizens go to polls to elect Silanyo’s successor on 13th Nov. There are three political parties which are contesting the polls mainly Kulmiye, led by Musa Bihi, Wadani led by former house speaker, Irro, and Ucid led by Faisal Ali Warabe. It will be the third presidential election which reached a fever pitch and is expected that the ruling Kulmiye party is due to defeat Wadani Unionist party by overwhelming vote.
