galbeedi Posted June 25, 2017 While everyone was worried about the Qatar blockade orchestrated by the gulf monarchs, a coup has taken place in Saudi Arabia. An arrogant, hubristic and cruel son has suddenly taken over all political ,military and economic affairs of the country. In most constitutional monarchs and royal families, there is a succession rule that is followed to it's end. THe second inline usually waits his/her turn after the ruling monarch dies or incapacitated. Yet, in this petrodollar oligarchy , pretending to be a nation, there are no rules. The current KIng Salman promoted his son to be the king in waiting. The 55 years old Mohammed Bin Nayef, who supposed to take over, was dismissed and relieved from all his ministerial duties. No questions was asked, and no one is allowed to discuss. It is one of the reasons they want to shut Aljazeera Network . This region , ruled by despots, dictators, tyrants and corrupt kings, has always been the place where most of the major wars were initiated for the last 30 years. In 1979, it was the unprovoked and unnecessary war between Iraq-Iran which claimed the death of 2 million people from both sides. After the Iranian revolution, Khomeini said , " the gulf monarchs are un Islamic institutions that must be changed". Fear gripped these families and they pushed Saddam to crush the revolution. When the war ended circa 1988, Saddam demanded war reparations from these countries. He demanded that the barrel of oil should be raised from $7 to 25. Money given to him for the war was rebranded as loans, and at the end these gulf countries were unable resolve their internal problem . Two years after the Iraq-Iran war , Saddam invaded Kuwait, thus the second gulf war started in 1991. Just little over a decade , after the 911 attack, the third unprovoked war of the gulf was started by George W. Bush in 2003. The Saudis and their gulf allies either supported, provoked or were unable to stop any one of these three major wars in their backyard. Yet, in 2011, just eight years after the third gulf war, the biggest hypocrisy of the gulf nations manifested itself when this despots started the process to overthrow other ARab dictators like Gaddafi of Libya and Assad of Syria. They unleashed Wahabi groups into Syria (Jabahtul Nusra, Army of Conquest and Al-qaeda) without considering the consequence of their actions and their earlier failure to organize and control the fragmented Sunni groups in Iraq. Throughout the entire world, there were never been that many wars in one single region. The gulf countries took part most of these sectarian wars through their money and the mad dogs agents of the Wahabi sect which is threat to peace, moderation and communal coexistence. Democracy and multi party system is the best method to prevent wars between neighbors. In democracy, Millions of citizens and their leaders would debate the consequences of war, and if decisions are made, it will be made with heavy heart. Despotic dictators and absolutist monarchy is the main reason this region is facing imminent wars every few years. The whole world is tired of the constant quagmire of these people. Before the introduction of the Wahabi doctrine in the Muslim world and the middle east, people of different faith and background had co-existed for thousand years. Millions of Christians, who traced their ancestry to the first century had thrived in Egypt , Syria, Iraq, and Jordan. They lived peacefully within their fellow Muslim citizens without any fear or discrimination. By the advent of nihilistic Wahabism, pushed by petrodollars, both people, their place worship and history were destroyed. Muslims became the biggest victims of these groups. From Al-shabaab to Boko Haram, Abu Sayyaf, Al-qaeda and many others were wreaking havoc among the innocent. Markets , restaurants, schools, mosques are bombed without mercy. The only way backward looking and archaic Wahabi doctrine could spread in the Muslim world was through wars. The only way Wahabism took hold in Afghanistan, Somalia, Yemen and Pakistan was through instability and war. As the war in Syria is winding down or peaceful settlement is reached within major powers that will divide the country into three or more spheres of influence, the Saudis and their allies in the gulf could ignite another one in the gulf. Since war breeds hatred, death and destruction, they should have examined their actions and change the course both from their theological doctrines and despotic institutions they control through the petrodollars. . So far, Mohamed Bin Salman, this arrogant young man, who was handed the Saudi throne through the coup by his father, has already failed everywhere in the region whether it is Yemen, Syria and Iraq. Saudi Arabia, the land of Makkah and Medinah, supposed to be a neutral country like Switzerland , where everyone was welcomed regardless of their religious affiliation. This new kid is preparing a new war to set a fire in the entire middle east. His final goal is the preparation, provocations of major Arab-Persian war, Saudi-Irania war or the Shia-Sunni war in the middle east. IHe accused Iran of trying to dominate the Muslim world and said, “Tehran’s ultimate goal is to take Mecca.” He said ,"“We will not wait for a clash to happen on our lands and we are going to strive for this war to be on Iranian territory,” The new Saudi king is saying, "“The war is going to come to us anyway, then let’s take the war to their lands.” Is this the hubris of an arrogant young man whose only achievement in life is buying $500 million dollar yacht in the French riviera or history repeating itself. In the fall of 202, American Neocons , Fox news and the Bush administration waged a propaganda campaign to sell the unprovoked and preemptive Iraq to the American people. The talking point of that war was, " instead of fighting them here in our own soil, we should fight them there". Well, this king is certainly guided by the neocons who are always promoting wars. The Qatar blockade and the consequences in the region. As of yesterday, the Saudis and their allies had demanded Qatar to implement 13 conditions or face total embargo. Everyone around the world had said that these conditions are either unreasonable or illogical. The four main principle points of the thirteen are: cut ties with Iran, stop supporting terrorism and shut down the Turkish base and Aljazeera Media Network. When the blockade started few weeks ago they published list of conditions which Qatar must fulfil in order to lift the blockade. Among them was Qatar financed charities that help refugees around the globe. The secretary general of the UN Antonio Gutierrez, dismissed these accusations of the charities as nonsense, and praising the crucial support these charities provide to the millions of refugees around the globe. Also, everyone realized how arbitrary and disgraceful the list was when they added the 91 years old Islamic scholar Yusuf Al-Qaradawi. In addition to that, American foreign secretary Rex Tillerson demanded the coalition to revise and produce a new reasonable conditions before time runs out. Now this are the new conditions. The first one is not only false narrative , but also hypocritical. UAE is one of the largest trading partners of the Iran. Thousands of Iranian companies are operating in that country. In fact Qatar is one of the countries that support the opposite side of the Syrian war against Iran backed regime by helping free Syrian army and other moderate groups taking part in the peace talks. Furthermore, the UAE is currently meddling the affairs of all Muslim countries through money, arms and agents. In Yemen where most of the Gulf is involved, the Emirates are financing the separatists movement in southern Yemen to secede. The son of Ali C. Saleh is residing in Abu-dhabi. They do not want a united Yemen. Sooner rather than latter, the so called "GCC" will dissolve. Without Qatar, Oman and Kuwait, the so called gulf counsel will be a party of three or even two. Second, all the opposition groups that settled Qatar were part of United States strategy to open dialogue to moderate Taliban members who are willing to make peace. On that account, Afghans released from Guantanamo Bay base were transferred to Qatar to facilitate peace talks. Qatar also gave asylum to former members of the Mursi government after they were overthrow by the Egyptian dictator. THese were members of the parliament , ministers and activists who feared for their lives. Since when a nation would hand over Asylees to the place they escaped from. Also, make no mistake, that all gulf countries including Qatar used their money to support insurgents around the world for different reasons. Saudis should be the first to crack down their rich sheikhs who dispense cash to insurgents from somalia to Nigeria. The third demand of shutting Turkish base in Qatar is another provocation to marginalize Turkey and create deep divide between the Turks and Arabs, besides sovereign countries can make and enter to military deals and security cooperation whomever they desire. Turkey , as the inheritors of the former Ottoman Caliphate, has an obligation to protect the two holy places of Islam. The fourth one is totally ridiculous. People around the world have shocked by the demand to shut Al-jazeera in order to silence the criticism of the rulers. The biggest threat of the middle east despots is "Change". Sarah Lee Watson of human right watch said, ""This is just an attempted expansion of the cowardly censorship they have inflicted on their own citizens, but it will fail," she said. Tim Dawson of the union of UK journalists said, "it is absolute horror" in reaction to what he called a "monstrous request" and urged the Saudi government to withdraw the demands. The UAE is one of the largest shareholders of Fox news. This network is a well known media that constantly targets MUslims with false and unsubstantiated narrative and is host to many Islamophobes in America. It is the home of those who are using fear to gain power, yet for the gulf, FOX news in fine. I believe all these unreasonable demands are a smoke screen for larger issues in the gulf. Qatar is the largest exporter of natural gas and with Iran they share one of the biggest deposits of natural gas. According to some analysts , the issue is bigger than what we might think. In less than three years, America will no longer need the gulf oil. Due to fracking and new technological advances, the US could be energy exporter by the year 2020. Every other nation is trying to get it's own energy through different methods. There are those who believe that no one will leave these billions of cubic of natural gas for Qatar and control the natural gas market. The UAE, who is blockading Qatar imports 30% of its natural gas from Qatar. If Saudi Arabia invades Qatar, others will follow and Iraq could take Kuwait and Iran would join the war. Before the big war starts there could be terrorist attacks that might force the countries to act forcefully. Modern terrorism in the 21st century prepares nations for war. It was 911 that prepared the American public to accept the idea of invading a country that did not attack America. It could have been impossible to wage a preemptive war, and the American people would never had accepted. As soon as the Qatar blockade was announced, the Iranian parliament and the burial grounds of Khomeini were attacked by gun men claiming to be ISIS. Since the ISIS terrorist group started, Iran had never been targeted. More could follow which could provoke Iran to be more belligerent. This new situation started by Trump and the Saudis to stop Iran could be a trap that will eventually target Saudi Arabia itself. America was talking up the threat imposed by Iran since 1996, yet those who are suffering or faced the American wars are mostly Arab countries of the region. It is hard to explain. Iran could be a powerful force and a war in their backyard could be more disaster for everyone including the Americans. The American leadership that could have prevented or managed his allies is no longer there. According to experts, " it is not possible for the U.S. to present a consistent and strategic plan for the Middle East today. U.S. President Donald Trump’s rude attitude, which gives the impression that he is vigilant and, as a matter of fact, that he can change everything from scratch, is increasingly being negated with the resistance of the institutes, lobbies and various forces in the U.S. For example, the tweets stating that Trump is behind the Qatar issue and which gave the impression that it was carried out with permission directly from him during his Saudi Arabia visit, were negated by the U.S. Department of State within a matter of a few hours. The U.S. secretary of state said good relations with Qatar will continue, in a sense, declaring that it is not behind this isolation step. Iran is not innocent in these wars. When Arab dictators from Egypt, Libya and Tunisia were overthrown by public uprising, the Iranians welcomed the change, Yet, when Shia dictators ruling in Syria and Yemen were threatened with the same public uprising, they sided with the dictators. After Ali A. Saleh of Yemen was deposed after 38 years in power, they undermined the new government and aided the takeover of Houthis. The Iranians, in their rhetoric seem to be always threatening Israel, but their actions seem to be totally directed at invading Muslim nations. Few weeks ago an Iranian missile hit Syria, and another one through the Yemeni Houthis, hit outside Jeddah. Someone is planning to bring this war at the heart of Islam and the most sacred places, Makkah and the Kaaba. If An Iranian missile hits the Kaaba either accidently or intentionally, bad things will flow and the wars of the next decade will be at the heart of Islam. That is why both Iran and the Saudis must be stopped before they burn Makkah through their arrogance and hubris. Unless an urgent intervention is made, I believe Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries will also be turned into another Syria. Eventually, they could be preparing the war of Makkah. In conclusion, civilized nations take their disputes to international courts or other multilateral agencies that deal with these issues. Disputes , can not became unprovoked wars. I urge the Somali state and others to avoid these tribal wars. We have enough of tribal wars among ourselves and we can not jump the new wars of the rich tribes of the gulf. Dhagax-Tuur Posted June 26, 2017 Thanks for this. The rest of Sunnis should sit this one out. The Iranians should be told about The Haramain being a red light they shouldn't cross. As for House of Saud, do your worst! About the war with Iran, I think you could be right, as the following excerpt from an article on the guardian quoting foreign policy: "Foreign Policy reported recently that key officials within the Trump administration are “pushing to broaden the war in Syria, viewing it as an opportunity to confront Iran and its proxy forces on the ground there.” The strategy was being advocated over objections from the Pentagon, but it doesn’t seem to be deterring White House." Let the games begin. I think a war with Iran primarily led by US is a matter of time. Question is, how are the Iranians going to face this? And the elephant in the room fueling this potential war is Israel, who feel that they have US admin that's listening to them. What would the Russians do about this, I wonder! Che -Guevara Posted June 27, 2017 Say what you may about Iran but it is a country with stated goals and reasonable foreign policy, It does not act on whims of self-indulgent despotic monarchs. It has a strategic goals and they are tactically better than Arab despots. On contrary to what many believe, Iran would actually like a stable Middle East where there is open movement of people and goods. It is willing to sit down if Arabs accept Iran is regional power and it is here to stay. Everything that Arabs have done or supported have came to fail, it is time for new approach and such approach would have to include Iran,
Haatu Posted June 27, 2017 Iran's primary goal is to capture Makkah and Medinah an re-establsih a shi'ite empire in the fashion of the Safavid empire. You can see this through their actions, in particular the noose they are carefully placing around the neck of the Saudis (Hezbollah and Syria in the North, Houthis in the South and shi'iah in the Eastern province of Saudi). The Iranians also have a close relationship with the Muslim Brotherhood (which incidently wants to overthrow all Arab monarchs particularly the Saudis). Now Qatar for whatever reason is a supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood and even hosts their spiritual leader Yusuf al Qaradawi. So the Saudis are threatened not only by Iran and the Muslim Brotherhood, but in extension by Qatar for playing host to the MB, hence the blockade to try and protect their throne. But it's as you said, a showdown between the Saudis and Iran is on the way. As bad as you may perceive the Saudis to be, I fear the Iranians will be much worse because their prime motive in all of this is deep-seated religious hatred. Che -Guevara Posted June 27, 2017 Iran has no ambition of invading Saudi Arabia let alone capturing Mecca and Medina. It is a scare tactic used by illegitimate House of Al-Saud aided by their new Zionist friends. Iran does not have the desire or means to wage such huge war. They know the limits of their power and carry their lessons learned from Iraq-Iran war. If anything is a threat to the Muslim world, it is petro-dollars of Al-Saudi and the insane fanatical ideology of Ala-Sheikh clan. Their centuries old alliance is about power and control of the Sunni world. And if anybody has deep-seated religious, it is the Salafis who labelled Shi'ite Muslims as heretics. galbeedi Posted June 27, 2017 The Shia Muslims of the world are less than 20% of the Ummah. Population wise, they do not have the means to control or dominate the Muslim world. As Che stated , the Iranians were the victims of the Arabs and SAudis for the last two decades. I do not believe that they have any ambitions of capturing Makkah at the moment, but if the Saudi aggression of waging war against Iran, with the cooperation of Israel and America materializes, it could create a huge grievance and hatred that will lead or encourage the Iranians to overthrow the Saudi despots. If their Mullah or religious leaders agree that ,"the depots of Saudi Arabia are the root causes of the Muslim wars from Afghanistan to Nigera", and their demise to be a religious duty, they could attack Makkah. In fact, in the modern war of 21st century, you do not need to invade or even capture the whole country, but to create an environment were chaos and terrorism makes life unbearable. When my headline states that these conflicts will lead to the battle of Makkah, I did not mean only the Iranians, but it could be other forces who are pushing these war. If war starts in the Gulf, it will cross to Saudi Arabia. The invasion of Iran in 1979 by Saddam, eventually was the prelude for Saddam's demise. The American administration is already in huge disagreements about the SAudi intentions. According to Defence secretary Mattis, the Saudi actions had backfired. A senior military officer says. “He thought the Saudis had picked an unnecessary fight, and just when the administration thought they’d gotten everyone in the Gulf on the same page in forming a common front against Iran.”. Tillerson and Mattis have been tilting towards Qatar. And for good reason. “Every time we’ve asked the Qataris for something they’ve said ‘yes,’ which isn’t true for the Saudis,” Tillerson told the House Foreign Affairs Committee that it would be a mistake to classify the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist group", The senior officer said, "The Saudi actions have backfired. Instead of intimidating the Qataris, the Saudis have “thrown them into the arms of the Iranians.” The result is an uneasy, but emerging Turkish-Qatari-Iranian alliance backed by Russia. “The Saudis have handed the Iranians a gift and we’re on the outside looking in" It is the typical confusion of American policy for the last 17 years. If history is an indication, when things get bad in the middle east, the Americans make it worse. Imagine, there is a war in Yemen between many groups, yet America is their chasing Al-qaeda , while claiming to be supporting president Hadi. Finally, the Saudis do not care about Sunni, Shia or Muslims in general. Their main purpose in this is self preservation and the continuation of the Saudi throne. Only a fool would think of stopping the clock. With advent of education, internet and open global village , no one can keep people to eat the sand. I always believed that the Arab world will go through what we went through for the last 25 years, but ten times worst, to achieve the change of their system. The tribal wars that will take place will be disastrous and unimaginable Just look Assad and Al-Sisi.
galbeedi Posted June 27, 2017 Today, the world is in a dangerous situation than ever before. Three Families: All Trump, Al-Saud and Al-Nahyan families who combine the power and military might of America and the petrodollars of the gulf could create the third world war (wwIII) in the middle east. The 30 years old Trump son in law Kushner is running the American foreign policy from the family office. Whether Trump impeached or not he will be a billionaire due to Saudi bribe. He is colluding with another 31 years old Saudi and the crown prince of the UAE , who is the son of the ruler. These three rich boys will burn the middle east if not stopped. The time has come for the American cabinet to use the 25th amendment and remove this reckless president from office before he destroys America and middle east.
