The funny thing is the justification for Comey's dismissal for mishandling Hilary's email, something then candidate Trump praised.

special counsel to investigate the Russian connection has been appointed. The noose is tightening, and many Republicans have finally come on board to dig deeper. I have the feeling that Trump might resign before he is impeached.

 

There is also a talk of the 25th amendment to remove him from office by his own cabinet.

 

Deep down, when you examine his actions by contadicting his own staff, Trump is tired of the media attacks. Since he is a narcissist who wants to be loved and praised, he could not take it any more.

I Think Trump has 9 lives, I would say about mid term election, in two years, only if the Republicans lose majority of the houses, that is when it is likely, he will survive this, for he seems he does not care/respect about the presidency .

 

I don't think they will rush to impeachment, it is very serious.

Impeachment is a nonstarter for a Republican controlled Congress and White House. However, I believe you've hit the nub of the real issue here: The midterm Elections.

 

All these unseemly brouahahas and whispered scandals fueled by the media's mediocre animus toward Trump-- and of course, encouraged by the recently loosing Democatic Party--have one objective and one objective only: To prevent the Republicans from accomplishing any legislative victories in the next 18 months, which the Democrats hope will cause big losses in the 2018 midterm elections for the governing party.

 

So far, it seems to be working just fine... More than a hundred days have passed since Trump's mandate begun and his ratings amongst the folks who elected him have plummeted considerably and the Republicans have nothing to show for it either with their failed attempt at repealing Obamacare.

 

If events continue to unfold the way they have been, the Republicans will lose big in the midterm elections and Trump will have to get used a Democratic majority congress in the second half of his presidency.

 

And if you thought Trump can get anything done now, you just wait in till the Democrats are in charge of the congress ??

He might survive for few months or years, but the end is getting very close. The democrats, who are more sophisticated and civilized than the GOP do not want to rush the impeachment. They want to bleed and weaken both president Trump and the republicans as much as possible. On the other hand, the republicans might wish to finish Trump off early and put their man Pence in power.

 

A Washington, DC publication called the " Hill" wrote this about the eventual trump resignation before the impeachment:

 

While Watergate involved Americans breaking and entering into an office for the purpose of electing President Nixon, Putingate involves Russians breaking and entering into computers to elect Trump.

 

The articles of impeachment of Richard Nixon passed by the House Judiciary Committee that involves obstruction of justice. More than one of the accusations in the obstruction article of impeachment passed by the committee is present today in the coverup of Putingate that is now imploding in real time.

 

Preet Bharara, the U.S. attorney in New York, whose office was investigating certain aspects of the scandal, was fired by the president. Sally Yates, then the acting attorney general presiding over the Justice Department side of the Putingate investigation, was fired shortly after she wisely and courageously tried to warn the White House of the dangers.

 

James Comey, the FBI director who was managing the FBI side of the investigation of Putingate, was fired by Trump after allegedly being asked both to make a loyalty pledge to the president and to shut down the investigation of retired General Michael Flynn.

 

Trump cannot act against Mueller the way he acted against Bharara, Yates and Comey. If he tries, he will be on the fast track to impeachment..

 

Appointing former FBI Director Robert Mueller as special counsel was a profound and historic move that will ensure the facts come out. As the Trump presidency enters a summer of scandal and hearings, revelations and leaks and disastrous poll ratings, many Republicans in Congress, who will continue to face contentious town hall meetings, will belatedly run from Trump like Olympic sprinters.

Some people say the election of Trump is the eventual decline of America. His main election platform of confronting China on trade and currency issue ended without any action. What he does not realize is that the main beneficiaries of American export to China are the so called "Red States" who produce wheat, barley, beef, Bork and other agricultural products. A trade war with China will be a disaster for them.

 

The poor working class workers who were expecting a manufacturing boom from trade restrictions against China were fooled and abandoned .Trump says China will be helping him against Kim Jong Un, so the trade war could wait for now. China will not allow the collapse of the North Korean government, because it is her stick to whip America and would never allow South Korea and Aerican Troops on her southern border. The more Trump barks on trade with China the more the Korean kid will agitate on behalf of China.

 

Since he could not confront China, he chose the low hanging fruit around the corner which is Canada. He is not ready to confront Germany, Japan or China with a huge trade deficit, but could not wait to harass the good old Canada. This man child will destroy America within a few years if not removed quickly.

 

The Canadian prime minister should lay low for now and do his other international trade issues with the rest of the world while Trump is making his noise. I do also suspect that the conservative party of Canada was encouraging TRump behind the scene to confront the liberal prime minister. Rona Amborse, the interim conservative leader, went to Washington last month and, as soon as she came back from Washington, TRump started to target Canada in so many ways. She was probably trying to make the job of the prime minister difficult. This reminded me of the tribal issues in Africa.

 

Some of these conservative fools were trying to ride the TRump wagon and copy his disastrous policies in Canada. They became jealous of how prime minister Trudeau was becoming the leader of the free world after the Trump disaster. If these conservatives do not change their Trumpian extremist policies, they will be decimated in the next election.
