Ohio State Attacker Described Himself as a ‘Scared’ Muslim

Before running over and stabbing bystanders, Abdul Razak Ali Artan told his college newspaper he was afraid to pray on campus.

 

An apparent attack at Ohio State University on Monday morning has left at least ten people injured after Abdul Razak Ali Artan struck them with his car and slashed them with a knife.

 

Artan was shot dead by police shortly after the attack began at approximately 9:52 a.m., director of public service Monica Moll said at a afternoon press conference. Artan aimed his Honda Civic at a group of pedestrains, jumping the curb, and colliding with them. Artan then exited the vehicle and began slashing pedestrians. By 9:53 a.m. — less than one minute following the start of the attack — responding officer Alan Horujko shot and killed Artan. No other people are suspected in the attack.

 

University police tweeted about 10 a.m. to “run, hide, fight,” a common mantra printed on safety pamphlets for evading an active shooter. Police lifted a shelter in place at about 11:30 a.m. All classes were canceled for the day for the campus's 60,000 enrolled students.

 

Artan described himself as a pious and scared Muslim in an interview with the Ohio State student newspaper in August.

After Looking his contradictory journal message , I consider him a mental case. Why would "scared Muslim" kill innocent people who have done nothing to him.

 

I do believe that there are large number of Somalis who are mentally sick especially those who left the country for the last ten years. Al-shabaab uses a lot of them for bombings and suicides.

Why don't the terrorists attack countries like Burma where Muslims are truly oppressed? The somali terrorists are mentally enslaved by their Arab counterparts. They only care about the causes their Arab masters care about- which is Palestine, Syria, Iraq, and other Arab problems.

That was how we grew up. Depressed people, sick people or even people with anxiety used to go to the mosque and read the Qur'an to find company with Allah. It is all about the doctrine of the Wahabis. Among the huge oceans of Islam, they consider themselves as the few.

 

They do not smile and they are not open. Many have underlying issues of marginalization, anger and isolation. They should be encouraged to talk to people. I can assure most of these are mentally sick people who should be helped. It is also a huge contradiction for a Somali whom his country is in a mess trying to harm those who rescued him.
