I actually like Germans and think they're more open minded than many Europeans but I don't like the football team ninyow. Wax fahan. Did they deserve to win Euro 96? Or the 1990 WC? NGONGE Posted July 7, 2010 ^^ Yes they deserved to win both Euro 96 and the 1990 World Cup (they had great teams in both). In 96 Matthias Sammer played as a sweeper (I think) and was, possibly, the player of the tournment (alongside Muller). In 1990 Lothar Matthaus was the main man for them and all their games were great to watch. P.S. I thought you said you watched these tournments! In 1990 they won the semi on penalties after getting a flukey goal and beat Argentina by a dive and a penalty. With or without Sammer iyo Mathaus, they didn't play well in both tournaments. NGONGE Posted July 7, 2010 ^^ Nothing selective, I remember both tournments as clear as day. They played well in both and the two I mentioned were players of the tournment (I think. Let me google this part). The best they played EVER? Saaxib, the Germans only were bad after 96. Before that they were a power to reckon with (they made the final in 82,86 and 90).
