Sep 21, 2016 - jawaab

xasan-sh2-3-150x150Madaxweynaha Soomaaliya Xasan Sheekh Maxamuud ayaa si adag uga hadlay Heshiis ay wada gaareen Maamulka Somaliland iyo Shirkad laga leeyahay dalka Imaaraatka Carab oo dhawaan lagu wareejiyay maamulka Dekada Berbera.

Waxa uu sheegay Madaxweynaha Soomaaliya Heshiiska ay wada gaareen maamulka Somaliland iyo Shirkada DPWorld ee dalka Imaaraadka laga leeyahay uu yahay mid sharci daro ah oo aysan raali ka aheyn Dowlada Soomaaliya.

Waxa uu tilmaamay Madaxweyne Xasan Sheekh in Heshiiska labada dhinac wada gaareyn uusan aheyn mid sharciyad heysta maadaama aan lagala tashan Dowlada Federaalka Soomaaliya, waxa uuna intaa raaciyay in Shirkada Imaaraadka ay heshiis la gashay Maamul Somalia katirsan iyada oon dowlada aysan soo marin.

”Dekada Berbera waxa ay kamid tahay dhulka Soomaaliyeed waana hanti uu qaranku leeyahay, Heshiiska dhax maray maamulka Somaliland iyo Shirkada Imaaraatka waa mid sharci daro ah maadaama aan lala socodsiin dowlada Federaalka” Ayuu yiri Madaxweyne Xasan.

Maamulka Somaliland iyo Shirkada DPWorld ee dalka Imaaraatka Carabta ayaa ku heshiiyay in Dekadad lagu wareejiyo Shikadaasi ayna ku sameyso dib u dhis iyo qalabeyn ku kacaya malaayiin dollar.

Heshiiska labada dhinac wada gaareyn ayaana cadeenaya in Shirkada DPWorld ay qaadaneyso 65% Dakhliga kasoo xarooda Dekadda halka Maamulka Somaliland uu isna qaadanayo 35% lacagta Dekadda kasoo xaroota.

Hassan Sheikh is right. Any deal must go first through Somali Federal Government. Maamulka Somaliland falls under SFG.

UAE must deal with the federal government directly.

Having said that, something tells me Culusoow is mad because he didn't get his cut of the deal. It is all about the Benjamins.

He already agreed and signed the earlier documents to authorize the negotiations . The Emirates paid " $15 million directly to Siilaanyo for the final agreement, and Hassan did not get his cut, that is why he is raising his voice. Soon the Arabs will give his cut so he could use for the election.

I thought Federal Government was involved, and both UAE and SL had Federal government endorsement on this,

It is very bad and amateurish for SL and UAE, if they thought they could proceed with SOMALI Federal government blessing, and involvement.

And it is about time for Somali government review this, before it becomes another Sea/Kenya blunder.

Things are going bad for SL these days, and they seem to be waking up to the reality of not being recognised, the ultimate say, always lies in Mogadishu.

Somalia has the power to reject. I did not see the document but it is a bad deal. The UAE are getting 65% stake which is very high for any public property ( hantida maguurtada). Maximum allowed with this can of public port should be 49%.

65% should be in hands of Somalia(divided between SFG and maamulka somaliland).

That is very likely the missing link.

Hassan Sheikh defending his pocket.

I never trusted any money going to SFG to be spent on the nation. We are the most corrupted people on earth. North, South all sams.

Barwaaqo, when they announced this agreement few months ago I was one of those who welcomed. DWP is world class company and I was welcoming the investment and modernizing of the Berbera port.

No one including the Somaliland parliament had seen the real contract. It is now clear that the UAE are taking more than the majority stake of the port(65%). That is huge stake in a public property . No country in the world allows foreigners to take more than 50% stakes , especially for public assets like : electric utilities, water companies, airports and ports. The problem is the Arabs sweetened the deal by giving $15 million signing bonus to those who negotiated. They landers saw the blinking cash and forgot the future.

That is why as it is this , the deal can not be allowed to stand. I do not believe Hassan Sheekh when he says hat he objected the deal to give Berbera to UAE. It was part of a package deal pushed by the gulf countries including Saudi Arabia. The primary idea was to use the port for the disastrous Saudi war in Yemen. Somalia was offered domestic jobs in the gulf and other donations for the Government. If he was honest , he would have spoken few months ago.

Also in Djibouti they did sign thirty years contract and some how Omar Geelle cancelled that contract two years ago.

When this issue first came to light , our friend Mr. Che lamented about giving up all the valuable assets of the country , but I was one of those who supported. I was wrong and I would like to declare that brother Che is definitely the conscience and the moral compass of SOL residents.

I don't know what era you are still living in Mr Galbeedi, but in today's open market capitalism national governments in the developed parts of the world are actually sort of allergic to holding on to any previously nationalised assets. In Britain everything is almost privatised. Now a days, not even the jealously guarded NHS is at all safe from the axe of the Conservative party. The poor socialists have to literally fight tooth and nail to keep it in the public hands but somehow every year bits and pieces of the organisation ends in the arms of private providers. So the 65% stake of DWP in this joint venture is actually a great deal for Somaliland given that a substantial investment will be made by the Emiratis and Berbera port will benefit from the efficient management of the experienced company. On top of this Somaliland will get the God given opportunity we have been waiting for so long to witness- the departure of Cali Xoor Xoor.
