"Gashamo woreda: Based on the 2007 Census

conducted by the Central Statistical Agency of Ethiopia

(CSA), this woreda has a total population of 95,191, of

whom 52,645 are men and 42,546 women. This woreda

is primarily inhabited by the West Burco community, one
