Holac Posted July 3, 2015 Migrants wait to disembark from an Iceland Coast Guard vessel at a harbor in southern Italy on May 6 after being rescued at sea. Antonio Calanni / AP It is interesting how Eritreans are fleeing a dictator, but Somalis are mostly economic migrants. The old elite generation from Somalia used to board planes and "is dhiib" at airports. The poor and the disadvantaged Somalis have discovered a new way do the same thing. Anyone from Somalia can now get to Europe by just walking long distances or by taking buses to get to Libya. It is a new world for dhilinyarada dhoofka. ElPunto Posted July 3, 2015 Syrians, Afghans, Eritreans and West/Central Africans. A whole bunch of other people are ahead of us now. It's nice not to be number one in all negative stories. The other issue I saw first hand in Somalia is how young people recruit others through FB with false images of life in Europe. Europe is struggling - there isn't any capacity to accept hundreds of thousands. At some point - their doors will be closed and what are these folks going to do then.
