Yusuf Dirir was a former SNM fighter but he decided to help his people to see if Somalinimo can be brought back. he could have chosen to live in Hargeisa and fight for independence, but he chose otherwise. what a giant Somali patriot they killed. Although he commanded respect among his friends, acquaintances, and clan, he chose to be a political outsider and a black sheep among his community all in the name of his convictions. He could easily have been an MP or a minister in Somaliland if he chose secession. His own brother was the former governor of the Somaliland central bank. Alle ha u naxariisto indeed.
