I don't think it is needed in Hargeisa as Ethiopian airlines has a fantastic service there. There is not enough customer base in Somaliland for too many carriers.

There is not much demand for travel in Somalia. These airlines are just trying to make headlines, and soon may cancel the new routes one by one due to lack of business.

I am not sure 100 % but I read somewhere that the plane saw in Aden Adde airport brought some Qatari dignitaries and has nothing to do with Qatar airways starting operations in Somalia. But it would definitely be a good thing if it happens though.

Somali airports need to be modernized and able to handle big cargo planes.

 

Look at Ethiopia and Kenya, both can handle huge jets like that monster Airbus A380.
