Elections delayed in Somaliland: Somaliland democracy damaged

According to the electoral commission registration of voters will start in

July when the elections were suppose to happen in June. What a shame.

Indeed... with the current incompetent admin and the EC failure to hold

elections on time it will be harder to sell the " we're democratic" line

to the west.

Previous elections had been postponed several times and this one shows no difference. If Silaanyo had organised elections on time by himself and won it, every party would have cried foul. Damned if he do and damned if he don't.

 

The day Silaanyo picked the fight with Nick Kay, is day he reconciled to the idea of not doing anything. Organising elections without the firm support of the IC is not possible in any part of the country.

 

I sympathize with the old man on this point.
