Saalax Posted January 14, 2015 Demonstrations In Berbera Protesting Sale of Electricity Company Writen by Qaran News | 10:13 pm 14th Jan, 2015 Berbera(Qarannews): – Angry demonstrators stage a fierce protest against the proposed sale of the local electricity company by the administration of President Ahmed Mohamed Mohamud “Silaanyo”. According to our sources in Berbera the demonstrators were angered by the bilateral decision taken by the administration in Hargeisa whilst the Berbera local council rejected the sale. Sources have reported that the local police used gunfire to disperse the protesters who were throwing stones and burning tires as part of their demonstrations.
