niyoow for the first time, a Somali government holds its ministries accountable. Each ministry was asked what it did, what it planned to do, what the obstacles where and what plan they have for next year. everyone was put on the spot and questioned and quizzed which was all part of presentation the government made for the people of Puntland.

 

This is a revolution my friends. never have we seen anything like this in Somali soil.

Mooge, this is a brilliant news. We need such accountability in all levels of government. Cabdi Wali seems to be leading Puntland in the right direction. Few months ago, I read another topics on SOL about Cabdiwali trying to find ways to increase state revenue through innovative taxation scheme. This is the kind of change Somalia needs.

Setting a clean example to the rest of Somalis and even other nations in the region.

 

Peace isn't the only thing we should be after. Countries like Burundi and Chad are very peaceful, but they're also impoverished and corrupt. Good government in Somalia would be beneficial for all of us.
