Recommended Posts

How about getting some diaspora and local engineers. Our own to be trusted with the job. Possibly, bring some foreigners as consultants.

Maybe all 'macne' has deserted us.

The Ankara-Istanbul high speed railway, constructed by CCECC, was inaugurated on July 25th. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, along with Yu Hongyang, Chinese ambassador to Turkey, attended the inauguration and travelled aboard the first voyage. Erdogan extended appreciation to the hard work of Chinese staff and hoped to take this opportunity to further cooperation between China and Turkey in other areas. This project is the first electrified high speed rail that Chinese companies constructed overseas. It bears great significance to the “going global” strategy of China railways. The Ankara-Istanbul high speed railway (Phase II) was signed in July, 2006 with a contract value of 1.27 billion USD. It is a double track rail covering 158km. The designed speed is 250km/h and European standard is applied. CCECC, on behalf of CRCC, contracted and constructed this project.
