Puntland is beefing up its buffer zone against lawless South. the circle of high level ministers approved a new district of Mudug 70 KM south of Galkacyo. This is big because the Eagle clan has been developing its South side last couple of years with Elk-Hunters sub clan of the Eagle and Gedo people who live in the area consolidating their historic landbase further close to Galgaduud. but this area wasnt' the focus of puntland for a long time because the government was focusing other issues. it is time to recognize these districts for the good of all so that Somali people can live in peace and every clan controls its land. this approval brings Caabudwaag and Elk-Hunters from the border area closer to Puntland. it is a great day for puntland niyoow. this is what we have been waiting for.
