However, once this is completed, there remains the much more difficult task of cleaning out the Al Shabab elements from all of Somalia's major cities, including the capital. That's gonna require a competent and trained Police Force and a Somali Intelligence Agency.

Al Shabab typically can't fight so even if they do confront the Somali National Army face-to-face, they'd definitely turn down the fight and prefer to blend in with the local population and conduct hit-and-run attacks.

 

The National Army doesn't hide, if they want to make a push into Shabab-controlled territory, then they will do so. Remember, Al Shabab is the organization where many of it's leaders are hiding and on the run, not the Government. The ball is in the government's court, and they should continue this push and cut the head off the snake.

Somali national Army defeated and liberated ten towns including Alshabaab strong hold in Hiiraan and Galgaduud plus Shabelle dhexe within two month not long ago in May and June and stopped the offense due to the rain season .

 

 

 

Gov force beat Alshabaab in Cities like ceelbur and buul burte which are Alshabaab strong hold with support of majority of clan that reside in these town .

 

 

 

Alshabasb are not even putting up fight instead are running retreating playing Hide and seek ........

Residents of six towns liberated from al-Shabaab by the Somali National Army (SNA) and the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) within a week say they are looking forward to putting behind them the fear and abuse inflected by al-Shabaab.

Between March 6th and 13th, the allied forces liberated from al-Shabaab the towns of Rabdhure, Ted, Hudur, Wajid, Burdhubo and Bulo Burde, in the Bakol, Gedo and Hiran regions.

 

 

While people in the liberated areas say they remain hopeful for conditions to improve with al-Shabaab forced out, they also continue to struggle as they try to rebuild the infrastructure the militants destroyed when they left.

 

For five days before the allied troops entered Hudur, the regional capital of Bakol, al-Shabaab used loudspeakers mounted on vehicles to instruct the people to evacuate the town, residents told Sabahi.

 

About 3,000 to 4,000 residents were forcefully displaced, mostly to rural areas nearby, by al-Shabaab so that the allied troops would find the town deserted when they arrived, Hudur District Commissioner Mohamed Moalim Ahmed told Sabahi.

 

"The civilians have now come back... and our forces are welcoming them," he said.

The au have said themselves they don't take your bandits seriously and they wouldn't survive a day without them. After the city is taken by the au your bandits come in and rob the local population and kill them which then drives them back into the arms of alshabab....

Ahh the terroist card when you can't answer legitimate questions somaha.... Never supported alshabab ever....but I know for a fact they are 10 times better then your bandits. The AU captures towns for you and like a lap dog they say come here with the photographers then the somali flags come out hahaha... The reality is you can't liberate a village by yourselves. And your bandits come with their checkpoints of theft, rape and steal from locals primarily food products and mobile phones.
