Coofle Posted July 18, 2014 Galbeedi is being misunderstood here. We rarely see a cosmopolitan university in Somalia. Students from south and central Somalia target Amoud university for Security reasons and good name . undoubtedly, Amoud university is leading (post-civil war somali) university in Somali inhabited lands. Many Somali cities might provide the same opportunities, but I guess they still don't enjoy the popularity. on another note...I wish to see a Somali city where Somalis live side by side, not claimed by a certain group or clan. A city that has infrastructure instead of the disabled clan-based towns. A city led by youth who genuinely think about well being of their city. A Somali utopia with Civilized Somalis.....I am a dreamer, but some cities have that potential....places like Jigjiga, Djibouti, Hargeisa, Borama and Bosaso are showing healthy signs of development both socially and otherwise. integration is easy,people are understanding and accepting other fellow somalis....on the other hand,Mogadisho is submitting more and more to become a tribal cesspool, after being a beacon for Umadda Soomaaliyeed. one can blame the civil war, but civil war has erupted in all of Somalia, yet some decided to move on, other failed to outgrow the stinking tribalism. One will be fooling himself if he thinks people in Mogadishu are more tribalistic than those in other parts of Somalia. Due to its unique role in Somalia, Mogadishu's problems are far more complex than say those of Hargeisa, Garowe, Baydhabo, etc. This multi-layered complexity is what magnifies tribalism in Mogadishu. True Waa loo simanyahay Tribalism-ka .... But every Somali clan have succeeded in establishing a considerable peace in their regions. Reer muqdisho, Ironically aspiring to be the center of united Ummad, yet failed in making it a stable..... Runta aan isku sheegno, Nothing is complicated, its Pure unadulterated tribalism by certain individuals (madaxda iyo ganacstada) .... Al-shabab and similar factions are feeding on pre-existing division and chaos....Muqadishians abhor tribalism and talk relating to it, contrary to their Somali kins, And I believe waa reer magaalnimo ay dadka dheeryihiin, yet they are the first to succumb to it...
