They are trying to buy prestige with money. Look at Qatar, a country of less than two million people want to host the world cup in 2022. They won the bid by bribing everyone. It is one city state. They want to build eight stadiums from scratch and are importing half million foreign labour to built all these. They are known to hold back the wages of these poor workers who are coming from Bangladesh, India, philippines and Pakistan. If I were Fifa , I would a ward that thing to Turkey or even Egypt.
